Jan is a resident of Wilton and a lifelong resident of Maine.
Jan is a blueberry farmer, retired high school science teacher (chemistry, physics, Earth science, Biology and whatever else I was asked to do). She is a certified respiratory therapist, a Maine Master Naturalist, and a grandmother. She has served on the boards of land trusts and comprehensive plan committees in two different towns, on conservation commissions, and with various service organizations. She currently volunteers with Maine Inland Fisheries and Wildlife doing bat surveys.
Jan was born in and has lived here in Maine her entire life, graduating from Mt. Blue HS, she holds several degrees, has published a book on nature walks in southern Maine and thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail twice. She is passionate about rural Maine. Jan honors the community spirit that she has seen in every town she has visited in this district. Jan believes everyone has value, that we are stronger as a community, a state, and a nation when we honor the contribution of each person and we support each other.
Jan knows it is time for change in Augusta and she has the skills, knowledge and personal attributes to get the job done in a competent and respectful manner.
